How Wolves Change Rivers

In term 4 we have been doing summerising on how wolves change rivers, first we had to watch the video a couple of times to understand the video. Then we had to listen to the video then put notes of what is happening in the video.

How wolves change rivers
The discovery of tropic cascade
Starts at top of food chain and goes down to the bottom
Yellowstone park in USA
Wolves were reintroduced in 1995
Wolves give life to many other things
Wolves had been absent for 70 years
The deer started to increase from the absence of wolves
Deer ate all vegetation
They killed deer so the vegetation would increase
Deer started to hide in different spots
Places started to grow with more vegetation
Birds started moving in
beavers start eating trees
Beavers create neishes for other species
Wolves kill kyotes
Increases the amount of rabbits and mice
More hawks more weasels more foxes badgers and ravens
Bears feed on dead animals
Wolves changed behavior of rivers
Less erosion
Regenerating forests stabilize banks
Soil erosion
Wolves changed Yellowstone park
